Join Me In The #cleanwater Photo Challenge

I love drinking water. Ice cold water.  It is one of those things that I don't even think about.  We turn on the tap and the water is just there.  My kids love to swim, play with water guns and water balloons.  We use water when we cook, every day.  I never think twice about that.

We are so lucky to live in Canada with its endless supply of #cleanwater

Some FACTS about the Childrens Safe Drinking Water program:
  • More then 7 billion litres of clean drinking water have been provided by humanitarian organizations across the world using P&G purification packets.
  • This has helped to save an estimated 39,000 lives in more then 75countries.
TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--It can be said that nearly all Canadians enjoy an unlimited supply of clean water, so it’s no surprise that a recent survey by P&G and Walmart Canada found that 80 per cent of Canadians take clean drinking water for granted. Yet approximately one billion people in the developing world* do not have the same luxury, and diseases from contaminated water are killing more children every day than HIV/AIDS and malaria combined*. - See more at: http://news.pg.com/press-release/pg-corporate-announcements/clean-water-partnership-helps-socially-minded-canadians-giv#sthash.YwExQ8Qh.dpuf

WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP?

P&G and Wal-Mart joined together in the spring to bring one day of clean water for every P&G product purchased during the month of April. At the end of the month, P&G donated 8.6 million days worth of #cleanwater to the Children's Safe Water Drinking fund as part of the Clean Water Initiative.

P&G and Wal-Mart want to continue their commitment to reach a goal of bringing more then 25 million litres of #cleanwater in a 12 month period and will once again open up the program to include EVERY SINGLE P&G product from July 16-31,2014.

To bring awareness of this program, I will be participating in the #cleanwater photo challenge.  Every day for the next 2 weeks, I will be posting a photo that will show how #cleanwater makes such a huge difference in our every day lives.

It is a 2 week challenge from July 18-31.

I want to invite all my readers and friends to participate in this challenge with me.  The words for each day are listed in the photo below.

As you share your photos, please include:
#cleanwater, and the word for the day (Day 1 #thirst)

As you participate and share your photos, you will be entered into a draw for an amazing P&G Prize pack and a $250 Wal-Mart gift card.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone's photos and all of us working together to help reach this amazing goal!!

I took the WalMart Challenge #PGMom

I have some free time right now, while my kids are gone to their dads for the week, so I am trying to catch up on some of the blog posts that I know I am ridiculously behind on.

I have loved being a P&G Mom and have grown to love many of the products, and I love that I have been able to share them with my readers too.  It has been a fun year, and even my kids have loved using many of the items we have been able to try out.

I was sent a Prepaid Mastercard for $100 and I got to try out the online ordering from Walmart.ca.  We were to buy the P&G that we love and see how easy it was to order.

At first, I had some issues with the credit card, and I'm still not sure if it was the card, or my computer.  I would get messages that things timed out etc...To place the order, I just bought myself a new card and it went through without a hitch!

What I loved about this ordering process was that I could set up my account, which was easy, and place my order, then come back again to pay for it and have it delivered.
Just like in the store, the prices changed as I went back each time.  They were better deals, though a few prices went up.  I found the prices to be very reasonable, either way, and I was excited to order some more Tide Pods and Swiffer refills to share with my family and friends.

My 15 year old also snagged some Covergirl make up too:)

After the order was placed, I could not believe how quickly the order came!  I think it was about 4 days and I had it on my doorstep!  Actually, it was delivered to my neighbours house, but it made its way back to our place!

I love that I can order from my house, and I learned that if I see a good deal on the website, to snag it up when I can.  It is something that I will do again!

Have you ordered online before?  Have you shopped Walmart online?  What did you think of it?

Equal Rollback at Walmart

Collective Bias sent me on a shop to my local Walmart to buy the Equal canister which is selling for a rollback price of just $7.97!

We have had a crazy few days, lately, but I finally made it today, with Faith as my shopping partner...

So, off we headed. I went straight to the grocery section, thinking it would be with the other baking and sugar items. Well, we looked and we looked, and we had no luck!! I checked out the flyer and didn’t see it advertised. I was beginning to wonder if our Walmart actually sold Equal...

I thought, they must, so I headed to the other section I thought it could have been in, the pharmacy. So, we made our way over there. Sure enough, it was on the shelf there.

There were a few other similar products in that section too. I am not sure why it would be in a separate area, but I was glad to have found it. The yellow canister didn’t stand out too much for me. It was mixed around a bunch of other products that were yellow too. I did have to look closely to find it.

Faith loved carrying it for me! She has to be in the middle of everything you know.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

These canisters are great for those who use Equal and like to bake. There are a pile of recipes on the Equal website. I, personally, have never baked with a sweetener, but this Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe sounds delish!! I will have to try that one out some day!
