I'm Back

Wow, what a weekend.

We had a great time together this weekend with the ladies. It was a nice time to get away and just think about myself. I am so happy that I had decided to go after all, it was a hard decision, but I know it was the right one.

I really enjoyed all the ladies who shared with us during our sessions. Everything seemed to fall in place. Things that were spoken about have made me think a lot about my life. What is holding me back, what my beliefs are, what gifts I am being given, but may be rejecting..., that God is always with us, no matter what we are going through.

I was able to just go for a walk and sit (after I climbed out of the pile of snow that I had fallen in!!) and just listen. It was so peaceful, so beautiful, so awesome to be able to just sit and listen. I find that life is just so busy, so noisy, thoughts in my head are so loud... So it was so neat to be able to just listen to the quiet, the snow falling...

I need to do this more for myself everyday. There is a lot to digest from this weekend, so I will be spending my week going through all the scriptures that were given and listening. I realized why I am the way I am, what I believe and why. It is really hard to deal with it when you finaly realize it. I never really realized how much my childhood experiences played a role in who I am.

I have decided that I really need to see myself different. I need to have a better view of who I am and who God sees me as, so every morning when I wake up I am going to confess who I am in Christ...

I am God's daughter
I am His own
He created me
To sit at His throne
I am of value
I am of worth
God made me unique
Before my birth
I am special
I am smart
God knows who I am
Only He knows my heart
I am His child
I'm written on His hand
God loves me forever
I am part of His plan
