Guess what songs these are...

We headed out camping on Friday and returned last night. We had a great time and it was wonderful to see so many family again...after such a long time.

This is just a quick post, as I am not in the mood to write lots...it is a contest of sorts...but there is no prize!!

On long drives we obviously listen to music to keep the kids occupied (at least that's what we keep telling people...it is really to drown out their noise...hehe). Now, you may think, with so many kids, that we would listen to kids music all the way, but we haven't quite figured out what is worse, kids noises or kids music...they run very close together!!

We made a CD for Pete for Father's Day. He has very broad music interests, so this cd has anything from country, to ACDC to the Ramones...

These are the lyrics that my kids sing while the cd is playing. See if you can guess the songs...

Pooky, 2 years old..."coooos ou fo ummer, coooooos ou foevu, coooos bown to pieces" (this one should be very easy...and she sings it right on beat, on word...exactly when it should be sung...aren't we good parents?)

Cutie Pie, 5 years old..."I wanna go to heaven, but I don't wanna go tonight, fill my boobs up with sand, put a stiff drink in my hand..." (um, yeah, that is what she heard, totally!! We finally had to tell her she wasn't allowed to sing this song anymore!!)

All the kids..."20, 20, 24 hours ago..." (words in the middle) "babababa bababababa I wanna be..."

Now tell me, driving all the way to camping...would you rather listen to kids music or these great works???haha

  1. That explains C's lastest song choice...she's been singing "Shake your boooodddy!". I asked her who sung this....she said Cutie Pie.

  2. The first one is "School's Out" by Alice Cooper. Great song.

I don't know the second one. I'm tempted to google it, but I will not. As they say, "Cheaters never prosper."

The last one is, of course, "I Wanna Be Sedated" by The Ramones.

I prefer to listen to "real" music, too. Really, Julia does, too.
