A Day in the Life...

Most mornings are great in my house. My kids are organized the night before and in the morning they wake up and get ready to go to breakfast club. They have such a great time there and really enjoy going.

Since I have been on placement lately, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays I say to my kids, as they head out the door "I will see you tomorrow morning". That itself has been an adjustment for me. So, while I am enjoying placement, I can't wait until it is done, so I can see my kids for more then a half hour. We all make sacrifices in life and this one is just temporary. 3 more weeks and I am home again for supper!!

This morning was one of those mornings that when the kids leave I want to curl up in a ball and not go anywhere...talk about a stressful morning!!

They were up in enough time to get ready to leave, and the 2 older ones were fine. Pooky, however, was in some kind of mood today...She didn't want to go to school. I tried to talk her into it by saying she would miss the delivering of her valentines and she was fine.

Off they went...Princess comes running back and says that Pooky won't walk...she was just standing there, so I called her to come back in the house...now, I would have just kept her home, normally, but...

I have to go to work tonight. I leave at 2pm and drop Faith off and I know there is no rooom for another kid to go with her...so I asked Mr. Hockey to walk her, after we calmed her down and talked her into going again.

I watched out the window...and he was able to get her to run a bit, and then she started acting up again...and this is how you know you have a good big brother...

He leaned over and picked her up and carried her the rest of the way!!

My kids are lucky to have each other...though they may not know it at the time:-)

3 more weeks and there should be some semblance of normalcy here again...I hope!!

Prov. 31:28a, "Her children rise up and call her blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied);"

They call you blessed with more than their words but by their actions, deeds and choices!!
