All About Me Day 12 - Something I am OCD About

Hmm...tricky one.  I guess my OCD thing is the apple pie and cheese bit...

I really won`t eat apple pie unless there is sliced cheese to go along with it. 

And each of those cheese slices HAS to be folded into little triangles before I can eat the pie. 

By doing that, each forkfull gets the PERFECT amount of cheese:-)

Is that OCD enough?

This is when I went to Barbados

I was 13 or 14 I think, so this makes the picture over 20 years ago!!

I was visiting my aunt and uncle and little cousin (who is not so little anymore!!)

I had a blast on this trip, there were monkeys and caves, hair braiding and swimming...Unforgettable!!

All About Me Day 8 - A Picture That Makes Me Angry/Sad

This picture makes me feel angry, sad and actually happy all at the same time.

This was the beginning of our fight, this was the beginning of our new life.

It makes me angry to think that we were told to end her life. 

It makes me sad to think how many parents would have made that choice.

And it makes me happy because I can see where she/we have come from and rejoice in where we are now!

All About Me Day 4 - Favourite Book

I loved to read books when I was younger, I would read on such a regular basis.  Lately, I barely get an opportunity to read at all.  When I do read, it is mostly helpful books, like the one I am in the process of reading now.  I had to return the copy I had and I am waiting for enough money to buy a new copy for myself.  This book is a must read for every parent.  It has taught me a lot about myself, not just my kids. It also applies to all kids.  I know that as a parent I am striving to raise my kids without breaking their spirit.  I want my kids to be different and stand out in the crowd.  This book is a great source of knowledge and advice on how to do just that.
