Catching Up

Ok, so I haven't been here for a few days. We have been pretty busy here. On Thursday night a few of us from the church went to a Kids Ministry meeting with some of the churches that we relate to. It was very good and I thoroughly enjoyed attending this. Then we had one of our busy Fridays, like usual. And Saturday was our anniversary.

We have been married now for 11 years. It doesn't really seem that long, which I guess is good. We have had our ups and downs, and we still do, but we are pretty happy. I wanted to head out on Saturday with Mr BD Cutie Pie was up all night Friday screaming about her ears.

So, Saturday morning I ran to the Urgent Care with her and found out that she had a severe ear infection. There were absolutely NO signs of this coming and I can't read minds. She seems to have a pretty high tolerance for pain. Oh, well, she is now on a double dose of Penn. to try and kick it in the butt.

Then Mr. Hockey and I went to pick out some new glasses for us. We had been to the eye dr. on Friday and needed to fill the prescriptions. I think we got a pretty good deal. Kinda frustrating actually having to buy 2 pairs of glasses. We have always had benefits, but can't wait for them this time.

So, Saturday afternoon I headed out to the Kids Ministry workshop with a friend. Wow, what a night. I was able to glean so much from the lady who spoke. It was just inspiring and awesome to see that a lot of the stuff we have been trying to incorporate in our KM is what she said was the best way to do it. We have a lot of learning and growing to do still, but... I think these kind of workshops should be mandatory for all Sunday School volunteers. What a time of refreshing and a time to realize that all we need is the Bible, and not all this flashy, stick it in your face kind of classes.

Then on Sunday, we had church and then headed to one more get together out of town. Pookie managed to sit quietly through almost an hour of the service (after praise and worship). I was so pleased, she is really becoming quite a child!!

So, here we are at today. I had one extra child and a friend stopped by with 2 more. They were all girls and just Mr. Hockey was the lonely guy. The girls had a blast playing Barbies and dress-up, oh the imaginations...

Then, the big news for the day......(drum roll)

Pookie walked, for real!!! She has taken 14 steps in a row so far. I find it absolutely amazing that even at the 4th child, we are still as excited and overjoyed about the new stages. It just never gets tiring!! We were all jumping up and down and screaming and cheering for her. She just giggled away and loved all the attention!!

So, you can see why I haven't really had the chance to get on here this week.

I am posting a Where I'm From next.
