Pics of our renos...finally

A friend of ours (thanks S) lent us her camera and we were able to take some pics of the different things going on in the house. Neither of these projects are done as of yet (do I see an issue here of starting something and not finishing???) but we hope to have them done in the next few weeks.

The bathroom used to be an ugly off white/yellow colour and we were just tiring of that. It still needs a second coat of paint, the border around the top and the trim around the top of the wainscotting. Then we are going to put up some shelves that my son made for me one christmas, finally! We are going for a whole east coast kinda theme. We will have lighthouse and tall ship memorabilia in there. Hubby is from Halifax originally, so bringing some of that home!!

We figured an easy way to not worry about getting into the corners exactly was to get a border instead. So we are waiting for a time that we can head out to a store. We are looking for something along the lines of boats or lighthouses as well. We are debating about the colour of the window ledge and the door. Do we go with a different blue or stay white??? Decisions, decisions!

And here are a couple pics of the counter that we have "almost" finished. We are just needing to finish the backsplash adn replace 1 tile that somehow broke.. on the backsplash that isn't finished. But, these are the colours and our first try at tiling!! (If you can see past the clutter!)

  1. Hello! I just found your blog - I like your blue bathroom. I've always liked nautical themes. My husband would make me put his magazines on those shelves though! It looks like you are making progress. Good job!

  2. I love the blue theme. I got the Halifax's mixed up though cos I live not too far away from the british/yorkshire halifax and it is all farm land and sheep here... couldn't see how a lighthouse fits in (lol)

Thanks for your supportive comment on my blog... those two totally addle my mind

    Have a good day
