Take 2 pills and see ya in the morning

So, I did it...I felt so lousy Saturday night that I broke down and went to the walkin clinic Sunday morning before church.

First, though, Saturday night was hubby's work Christmas dinner...it was dubbed the 'garbage pickers Christmas dinner'. Sounds exciting, huh? Well, hubby insisted that we get there early and 'mingle' with everyone. We arrived an hour early and we waited. He doesn't know too many people yet, so we sat at an empty table and just waited for some people to sit with us...the people he knew had no more seats at their table. They renteda bus for the night for drop offs and pick ups, to avoid drunk driving. Which is a good thing, but we had the most obnoxious group of drunks sit down with us. My kids would have behaved better then this group of people. Oh well, we enjoyed our meal, which was very good, and we stayed for the door prizes. Good thing, cause I won a crockpot. I am going to try it out today. It is so big!! Then we left.

We got home and rented Click on tv. What an awesome movie. I laughed, I cried, it was very good, I recommend it to anyone!!

I decided Saturday night, that I couldn't handle this sinus infection anymore, Advil had stopped working and my neck was so stiff, I could hardly move. So we woke up at 8am, Sunday morning. No kids in the house, and we didn't even sleep in! Anyhow, got to the walk in clinic and was in and out fairly quick. My sinus infection has pretty much taken over my entire body. He checked my breathing and my throat and was surprised to learn that I wasn't a smoker! It was that bad... he prescribed Biaxin. I have never used this before. It was so expensive, the pharmacist asked if I had told the dr. that we didn't have a benefits plan. I hadn't, hubby has made it past his 3 months probation, so we are hoping they will reimburse this cost. $70 for 20 pills. They are huge horse pills...I took 2 yesterday after church, when I was able to get the prescription filled.

We had our church Christmas dinner last night. It was great fun, I really enjoy getting together with everyone. We were the last table up, each table had to pick a number between 1 and 200. Both myself and another lady at our table thought 199. Must be a God thing, right? Nope, the magical number was 62. My friends hubby said it must have been a God thing, but we were learning patience!! Oh, well, we were first for dessert. We enjoyed watching the talent show and the slideshow, singing Christmas carols, visiting with everyone and eating some great food. We were trying to stay and help clean up afterwards, but I finally just had to go. I had been a bit lightheaded throughout the evening and think this may be a side effect I am experiencing from the medication. So we left earlier then normal and headed to bed.

Woke up this morning, feeling about 30% better. So the medication is finally kicking in. I take it again with my lunch, so we will see how I feel later on. We are supposed to go to our homeschool group today, but I am cancelling out. I need to just rest. My kdis have never missed a day of it in 5 years, so this is huge for me. I am finally at a point though where I know I feel lousy and I don't like it. I can't seem to function and I don't want it to get any worse. I couldn't handle ending up in the hospital, all those comments on the previous post made me think twice. So, here I am, staying home, and resting today. Hopefully I feel even better later on!!
