Containing the Excitement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I am as excited, if not more excited then when we bought our new home...you know, where we are now, with the pool.

Our church has put in an offer on a school building that will stop running after this year...

I have been on pins and needles. We were there when the church bought the building we were in and while it was exciting and a miracle, this feels different...

Everyone is excited, everyone is on board, people who aren't even church goers are excited...it is definitely the best feeling I have ever had...

Such a big property, so much room for the kids to run around in (they have been praying for the soccer field there!!). Rooms all over, so much potential...I really am having a hard time thinking about anything else...

I have been telling everyone about it, even if it is just someone in passing...I bet they all think I am nuts!!

Anyhow, that is what has been on my mind lately and I needed to get it out!! We are standing on scripture and specifically Isaiah 58:9-12...It speaks volumes!!!

9-12"If you get rid of unfair practices, quit blaming victims, quit gossiping about other people's sins, If you are generous with the hungry and start giving yourselves to the down-and-out, Your lives will begin to glow in the darkness, your shadowed lives will be bathed in sunlight. I will always show you where to go. I'll give you a full life in the emptiest of places—firm muscles, strong bones. You'll be like a well-watered garden, a gurgling spring that never runs dry. You'll use the old rubble of past lives to build anew, rebuild the foundations from out of your past. You'll be known as those who can fix anything, restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate, make the community livable again.

  1. I had a few emails since the news that the school chose the developer over the church.

"God is just making you more hungry, more ready. Whetting the stone to have the sickle ready.

It's really wonderful how you were able to jump at less than a moment's notice, and I can't help think that the jumping is training."

    Another person sent this:
"maybe it was the perfect building for us but now we get to think and pray about what the next building is that we want - what location, what size, what prize, how much land, etc. etc.

Like your (hubby's) message said, we don't need to lose the momentum, we just need to take stock. If we could do that much that fast for this building, how much more can we do if we devote that kind of energy but spread it over a month or two months?"

    And another:
"I am disapointed some but along with you I am very excited now to see what God has in store for out church in the future."

Now we pray for the spoils!!! :-) What else are they going to do with the playgrounds and school equipment?!

Guess who the first person Dave ran into this morning was???? Terry G - the man who helped us with where we are now!! More exciting stuff is about to happen.

  2. I was excited too...little nervous...but excited. Already envisioning us in the building. I was a little disappointed, but whether I'm correct or not in my thinking, I believe that if that was the correct building for us...we would have gotten it. I'm excited about all the positives that came out of it...people are dreaming and believing...excited and united.
