The movie really makes you think. I watched it with my kids and they had their opinions afterwards. We talked about how God must have felt when he chose to give His son in order to save the world. Even my 9 year old could grasp the concept that God gave his son and could relate it to the choice that this father had to make.
From the press release:
MOST, the Czech word for "The Bridge," is a fitting title for this 21st-century parable about a loving father, his young son, and the fateful day when they attempt to head off an impending rail disaster. Hundreds of passengers aboard an oncoming steam train are completely unaware of the danger that looms as they head toward an open drawbridge. As a desperate young woman witnesses an act of mercy beyond imagination, her life is changed forever—as are the lives of all who see this film. Both heart wrenching and glorious, MOST vividly portrays the greatest offering of love, sacrifice, hope, and forgiveness known to man. This movie was able to open up discussion between myself and the kids, aged 5-12 and it was a great way to show that even when something bad happens, there is something good that can come out of it. The fact that we were able to see one of the train passengers later, with a child, was an amazing ending.
The joy in the fathers face was amazing, even if he didn't know what that passenger had gone through and how her life had changed. All that he needed to see was, because of his mercy and unselfishness, there was new life.
This movie is amazing. It left me really speechless and brought home the act that God chose to do for us. It really drove it home, to the heart!!
