Sundays Verse

I was reminded of this verse in church today. It is a verse that I have stood on many times and I seem to have forgotten more recently about it. So powerful!! We were singing the song, just under the verse and my heart stirred with this verse again...thought I would just share. It was definately something I needed and maybe someone else does as well!!

Hebrews 6:13 When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, 14 saying, "I will surely bless you and give you many descendants."15 And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.
16 Men swear by someone greater than themselves, and the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument. 17 Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. 18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope offered to us may be greatly encouraged. 19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, 20a where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf.

Faithful One
(Brian Doerksen)

Faithful One so unchanging
Ageless One You’re my rock of peace
Lord of all I depend on You
I call out to You, again and again
I call out to You, again and again

You are my rock in times of trouble
You lift me up when I fall down
All through the storm
Your love is the anchor
My hope is in You alone

  1. Oh yes, I sure like the words to that song- I don't know it, where would I find the music?
What ever would we do without the love of Jesus aye!

  2. True eh?! What would be the point without His love?!

The devil enjoys when we're hard on ourselves for our past, we do such a good job for him. Jesus only sees us in the present and in the future. It's so cool!!
